Three people are facing multiple charges, after they allegedly ran over a police officer with their vehicle in a mall parking lot and then led police on a high speed chase.

Police say an officer tried to stop three shoplifting suspects at the Northgate Mall Saturday, when the three suspects, a man and two women, jumped into a jeep Grand Cherokee and tried to get away, striking the officer.

Police pursued the suspects out of the mall parking lot and on to Ronald Regan and northbound 75, reaching speeds of 90 mph.

Officers were forced to lay stop sticks to slow the vehicle down, the three were arrested after a tire and rim flew off the suspect’s car.

The two women were arrested without incident the man was sprayed with mace before he was arrested.
