Chesterfield, Va. (1140wrva.com) -- AFTERNOON: VDOT says lanes may be closed on I-95 through rush hour. Spokeswoman Lindsey Legrand says because fuel corrodes, they may have to mill and repave the Interstate in the area. Northbound lanes are also closed to avoid someone accidentally triggering a spark to the fuel.
9:40am Update: State Police say the clean-up from a crash at mile marker 57 in Chesterfield (near Woods Edge Road) will keep all the southbound lanes and two northbound lanes closed for 3-4 hours.
Sgt. Steven Vick says a Jeep hydroplaned and hit a truck hauling gasoline. The truck overturned and spilled an undetermined amount of fuel. Vick says because of the risk of fire, the road will stayed closed for now.
Sgt. Vick recommends you take 301 (Jeff Davis) at Chester - or 295 to get around the crash and back-ups.
A second crash on 295 south near the Varina-Enon bridge (mile marker 19) has two lanes closed, and is also creating back-ups
