(Charlottesville, VA)  --  University of Virginia students and community members have protested on campus, demanding justice and equality.  The group of about 100 gathered last night at the statue of Thomas Jefferson near the university's rotunda and spoke against white supremacy.

The group called Jefferson racist as they covered the statue with a black tarp.  The protest comes one month after the deadly "Unite the Right" rally.
